The Faculty of Education is committed to the discovery and dissemination of knowledge about teaching and learning. We promote the view that to be a professional educator is to continue to question, to reflect, to seek knowledge and to be open to change. We are one of the largest education faculties in the country, with four teaching departments and one school: Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Educational Policy Studies, Educational Psychology, and the School of Library and Information Studies. For undergraduate programs, there are Four-Year Elementary Program, Four-Year Secondary Program, Five-Year Combined Degrees Program and After-Degree Program. We also offer Master’s/Doctoral studies, Diploma and Certificate programs in the 4 teaching departments. There are many career paths you can take depending on your major/minor and your research experience in education. Our degrees are recognized worldwide.

There is no special application for this faculty. You can apply directly from high school or you can transfer from another program.

How to get into the said department: (Ex: GPA? Volunteer work? Is this a department students get to go in right after high school? Or after 1st year of university?)
Undergraduate Admission: For high school applicants, a minimum average of 70% is required, and for postsecondary transfer applicants, a minimum GPA of 2.0 is required. All admissions are competitive and the actual admission averages are higher than the minimum. There is no volunteer work or reference letters required.
Graduate Program Admission: A four-year bachelor’s degree and a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
Diploma/Certificate Program Admission: An undergraduate degree is required.
