Last year AKCSE UBC held numerous events for engineering & science students including: L.I.F.E for students interested in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and nursing, MMM for those in need of counselling about choosing the majors, Tec Night for engineering students and held other diverse events. Given that the previous events lacked focus on engineering students last year, AKCSE UBC aims to change this and provide more opportunities for engineering students. We plan on supporting first year engineering students in making decisions about the majors and also to help those who are struggling with the intense amount of workload. Having spotted a void amongst UBC students pursuing a patch in research, we hope to encourage more Korean-Canadian Engineering and Science students to take interest in what the research field has to offer by providing related events. AKCSE UBC promises to continue providing the best academic and social events for its members.
