Established in early 2014, our vision is to promote academic excellence and professional relationships amongst Korean Canadian students, by providing means of academic assistance, mentorship, networking, and scholarship opportunities. Our activities from last year include Midterms Help Week, information sessions regarding internship, research, and graduate school, and Open House, where prospective students’ inquiries on university life and program requirements were answered. Various social events were hosted for students to build connections, relieve stress, and engage in active living, through activities like Running Man and Membership Training retreat. We seek to build partnerships with external organizations to encourage networking between students and professionals, and engage in community service to bridge cultural and societal gaps. Our future direction towards making a strong presence in the Korean Canadian community will continue through focusing events towards community service, and developing leaders in industry and academia for the benefit of the Korean Canadian community.
