UNIVERSITY OFWATERLOO

The primary goal of AKCSE at University of Waterloo (UW) is to promote AKCSE in the university by providing academic activities to students and contributing further within Korean-Canadian society in Kitchener-Waterloo region. Our activities fall into three main categories: academic, fundraising, and network. For academic events, we offer online counselling service to prospective and current UW students through our Facebook page. In September, we hold an orientation event to provide information and tips to support first year students adapt to the school and the region. We also offer resume critiques, mock interviews, and tutorial sessions about the co-op program in UW each term to assist current UW students to explore their future career paths. Each year on Valentine's Day, we offer chocolates with customized cover for fundraising. Non-alcoholic cocktail party and “VRing-it-ON” which visits local virtual reality (VR) arcade are some examples of social events at UW AKCSE.
