AKCSE uOttawa goals for the past year (2016-2017) were to plan more events, recruit more members, and tighten the community of science and engineering students in uOttawa. In the past year AKCSE uOttawa executed two events: The first event was an official orientation, second was a KOSEN (한민족과학기술자네트워크) day debate event. In the orientation, information on various research, internship, club, event, and scholarship opportunities were provided accompanying games and snacks for the attendees. The second event, KOSEN day, dinner was provided by KOSEN on the condition that the attendees participate in a discussion about an educational topic decided by KOSEN; the topic this year was on the responsibilities of scientists and engineers involving artificial intelligence(AI), robots, and controversial biology.
