The main goals of SFU ACKSE is to open up opportunity for Korean/Korean-Canadian students who are studying science or engineering, to expand network, and to share professional knowledge and school experience. Before a first semester starts on September, the orientation for freshmen was held. Students studying various majors had volunteered to take a tour around the campus and provide advice about courses and school life. General orientation was held on every first month of each semester. Membership Training was held on Manning Park for three days. Networking Night was held on March, where two professionals from YGP shared their career and advised how to prepare before jumping into professional fields after graduation. SFU ACKSE collaborated with UBC for Bowling Night which was a great opportunity for future scientists and engineers to widen their network. Movie Night was held to celebrate the end of the year and to socialize.
