AKCSE Queen’s is the Queen’s chapter of non-profit international organization that was found in 1986. Our primary goal is to assist professional development in students interested in sciences, engineering, and nursing by providing information and resources. Also, we tried to bridge the gaps between students and professionals from diverse fields through various networking opportunities. Last year, we held several events to maximize student’s career potential. The event that received great feedback was Queen’s Grad School Information Night where we invited speakers from graduate schools to hear their experiences in both undergraduate years and graduate school. In addition to the educational events, we held a social event called Chimek Night. Chimek Night was an event where we finished off the school year by treating the students with some fried chicken and beer. For next year, we will work hard to provide even better events and resources for members.
