Process of getting into the said department: (Ex: Is there any necessary special application process? How to choose the said department)
Apply through Carleton University website (Carleton.ca) There is no special requirement for this department. The application process is different for students outside of Ontario and international students. details can be found in the website.
How to get into the said department: (Ex: GPA? Volunteer work? Is this a department students get to go in right after high school? Or after 1st year of university?)
This is a direct entry program right after high school. The cut off range is 75% to 85%.
Why do people choose this department? (Ex: Career, ability to do multiple academic categories)
Our department offers Co-op opportunities. The Co-op experience often helps students to find jobs right after graduation. To graduate with Co-op, students must pass the Co-op course (COOP 1000), and go through 16 months of work experience through the Co-op program.

The 2 engineering buildings located at the middle of the campus are Minto Centre, and Mackenzie building. These two buildings are connected to another.
Please write 3 pros and 3 cons about the department.
Pros:
-
Carleton University is well known in Engineering.
-
We are one of few Universities that offer Aerospace Engineering.
-
We have a canteen in our building called Leo’s lounge.
Cons:
-
Engineering buildings are old.
-
The buildings are not that pretty.
-
Some professors have strong accent.

Finally, take this time to add any extra information about your department: (Ex: Professors, funding, new building? Less competition? Anything)
There are lots and lots of Engineering clubs where they get into competitions and build cool stuff. There are so many extra supports for engineering courses such as PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) where they review course materials and provide practice exams. Carleton has well equipped laboratories and great engineering innovation. In general Engineering at Carleton provides lots of resources and assistance.
